When we talk about sustainability, many people first think of green energy and CO₂ reduction. But sustainability begins much earlier – with the selection of materials, the efficiency of production, and the durability of products.
What makes wire mesh sustainable?
- Longevity as a principle: Our knitwear doesn't just last for years, but often decades. It withstands extreme conditions and needs to be replaced less frequently. Less replacement means less resource consumption – and that is sustainability in practice.
- True circular economy: Metal is 100%% recyclable without loss of quality. At the end of their long service life, our products can be melted down and reused. That is circular economy in its purest form.
- Short distances, fewer emissions: We clean and degrease our wire mesh internally. No long transport routes to external service providers, no unnecessary CO₂ emissions. And we maintain full control over solvents and waste management.
- Contribution to the energy transition: With our knitted fabrics for hydrogen electrolysis, we support the production of green hydrogen – as a clean alternative to fossil fuels. Every electrolyser with our components makes an active contribution to decarbonisation.
- Systematic Environmental Management: Our ISO 14001 certification is not just for show. It means we continuously improve our processes, systematically minimise environmental impacts, and transparently document everything.
Sustainability is not a marketing trend for us, but has been a firm part of our corporate philosophy for years. From production to recycling, we think in cycles.
